In 2003, the group completed Forum Mall – India’s first mall to integrate shopping with cinemas. It was re-invention of retail science, never before had anyone ventured to design a structure where a multiplex would sit on top of a mall. It worked wonders, drawing the people through the mall corridors, maximizing shop front visibility and encouraging walk-ins.

• The Washington Post cited Forum as ‘the edifice of a resurgent Bengal’.
• Far Eastern Economic Review called it ‘emblematic of Kolkata’s new found confidence’.
• In 2003, the Telegraph stated that more people visited Forum Mall than the Alipore Zoo and the National Museum put together.
